Founded in the 1940's by three brothers, K's has over 50 years experience in the British seaside coin-op and entertainment business. The business was built on three very simple principles of trading: Value for Money, Personal Service and Great Atmosphere.

The business expanded rapidly and during the late 1940's Mack, Mick and Sid were busy building large wooden sheds where they (and their growing families) served hot tea from giant urns to the huge crowds that thronged to the East Coast.

These and the mechanical penny amusement games, that were essentially a side attraction, were early versions of what were to become the gigantic Family Entertainment Centres.

In the 1950's the brothers first 'Penny Arcade' was the Happydrome, typically they built it themselves from timber on Cleethorpes Promenade. It was an instant success and was folowed by sites in Great Yarmouth, Skegness and Bognor Regis.

By the end of the 1960's the brothers had built up a machine hire business supplying over 1000 machines to pubs and clubs across the North East. The 70's saw K's move into several sites in the North East including Blackpool and Grimsby followed by Bournemouth in the South of England.

During the 1980's they had also expanded into the beautiful South West of England with sites at Torquay and Swanage Bay. The 1990's saw K's re-investing heavily in its South West sites, building Entertainment Centres of a standard not previously seen outside the big cities.

Initially originating from a light-hearted boardroom aside some thirty years ago, their three principles of trading can be seen by everyone entering one of the centres engraved in gold on a stone plaque.

The ethics of the founders remain as a solid reminder to the management team and are the first thing any new employee is shown, after a successful interview.

Often copied, but seldom bettered, the presentation and quality of the undercover attractions has become an industry benchmark. The firm remains wholly family owned and directed by the second and third generation of the founders families.
